Bandh is the brainchild of Mr. Arun Patil and Mrs. Bharati Patil. Mr. Patil is a retired government officer of the Department of Forests, Maharashtra State. The seed for Bandh was planted in Mr. Patil’s thoughts just when Covid-19 struck. The hardships that the marginalized communities as well as middle class citizens face has always been an issue of major concern for him. It pains him to witness the struggles that they face day in and day out to make their ends meet.Due to Covid-19, this was further accentuated by lockdowns and job loss, besides putting a huge burden on our healthcare system.
